NUR 4320 - Nursing Leadership & Management


This course introduces the leadership roles and management functions expected of a beginning professional nurse with an emphasis on patient safety and quality improvement. Students will work in various healthcare settings as a team member on quality improvement projects informed by healthcare system needs. A clinical component is required for this course.

Note: 6 credits (3 didactic and 3 clinical for 135 clinical hours)

Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisites: NUR 4200, NUR 4310 and NUR 4255

Co-requisites: NUR 4410 and NUR 4400

Credits: 6 hours

Restrictions: Restricted to majors in Nursing.
