ANTH 3200 - Housing and Homelessness


This course analyzes the social and discursive production of housing and homelessness. The course explores theories to understand housing shortages and affordability, links between trauma and homelessness, and the complexities of homelessness locally, nationally, and globally. Methodological approaches for analyzing social conditions and social policies are explored. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 3: Connections – Local and National Perspectives Category. This course also meets the Diversity and Inclusion student learning outcome.

Credits: 3 hours

Cross-Listed: ANTH 3200 is cross-listed with SOC 3100. Students cannot receive credit for both ANTH 3200 and SOC 3100.
