About Marketing
Marketing, more than any other business function, deals with people. Sound marketing is critical to the success of every type of organization, including business-to-consumer companies, business-to-business companies, consumer goods and service companies, as well as non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs. The Marketing minor complements several major areas of study including (but not limited to): All majors within the College of Business, Economics, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Fashion Merchandising, Tourism and Travel, Organizational Communication, Sociology, Psychology, or Statistics. Students who study marketing can pursue a variety of career paths, including those related to branding, strategy, consumer/marketing research, consumer experience, promotion, channel, and sales management.
